Creating a New Multi Durational Transaction

Multi durational transactions are ideal for events spanning multiple days or requiring different items at different times. Rentopian makes it easy to set up, manage, and customize these transactions. Follow the steps below to create your own.

1. Start from Quotes

  1. Go to Quotes: In the main menu, navigate to the Quotes section.

  2. Create Multi Duration: Click Create Multi Duration Transaction to begin setting up multiple date ranges.

2. Define Date Ranges

  1. Add a New Date Range: Click the Add New Date Range button. Give each date range a descriptive name (e.g., “First Delivery” or “Second Delivery”) and select the start/end dates.

  2. Chargeable Days (Optional): Adjust the number of days to be charged if it differs from the default.

  3. Multiple Ranges: Add as many date ranges as needed. Some items can span the entire event, while others apply only to specific ranges.

3. Add Items to Each Date Range

  1. Select Products or Sets: Click Add New Items and choose from your inventory list or search by name.

  2. Adjust Quantities: Increase or decrease quantities to match your needs for each date range.

  3. Item Options & Pricing: Choose product options, apply discounts, and customize labor or additional costs as required.

4. Logistics & Delivery Setup

In the Logistics section, specify delivery details (e.g., address, driver, delivery date). This step mirrors the standard order workflow, ensuring consistent scheduling for all date ranges.

5. Finalize & Manage Your Transaction

  • Create Quote: Once all items and ranges are set, click Create Quote.

  • Standard Workflow: The multi durational quote can be converted to an order and follows your usual rent-out, delivery, and return process.
