If there’s a small difference between the amount paid and the order total, you can adjust it using a fee. Here’s how:

1. Navigate to the order you need to adjust
Fees can be added from the order edit screen or the order view screen.

2. From the order view screen, find the Add Fee option in the Payments and Fees section of your left hand actions.

3. When you click Add Fee a window will open where you can give the fee a Title, choose a Unit (whether the fee will be a dollar amount or percentage), and then enter the Fee Amount.

Note: When using fees to adjust an order balance, typically you'll use the dollar amount and not mark the fee taxable so the amount of the fee will match the balance you're trying to compensate for.

4. Once you've entered your fee information, you'll click the green Add Fee button and the fee will be applied to the order.

Note: Fees can be either positive (to increase the total) or negative (to reduce the total).
