How to Resolve Issues with Blocked Quotes Review in Rentopian

Resolve blocked quotes in Rentopian caused by overbooking or review days. Learn how to unblock and resend request for review.

In Rentopian, quotes can sometimes be blocked, preventing customers from progressing through the “Request for Review” process. There are two main reasons why this happens: quotes blocked due to review processing days and quotes blocked due to overbooking. This guide explains what causes these blocks and how to resolve them.

1. Blocked Quotes Due to Review Processing Days

If your quote’s start date is within the number of days specified in the Review Processing Within Days field under your order settings, the quote will automatically be blocked. This prevents customers from accessing the “Request for Review” link.

Example: If the field is set to 3 days and a quote’s start date is only 2 days away, Rentopian will block the quote from being reviewed.

How to Resolve

  1. Open the blocked quote.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Scroll down to the Additional Details section.

  4. Check the box labeled Ignore Review Days Blocking.

  5. Click Update Order.

  6. Resend the Request for Review.

Note: You’ll need to resend the request because the original quote email is cached in the system.

2. Blocked Quotes Due to Overbooking

When a quote contains overbooked items, Rentopian will block it from progressing through the review workflow. A message banner will appear at the top of the quote, advising the customer to contact support. This message can be customized in your Order Settings.

How to Resolve

  1. Open the overbooked quote.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Scroll to the Additional Details section.

  4. Check both of the following boxes:

    • Ignore Review Days Blocking

    • Ignore Review Overbook Blocking

  5. Click Update Order.

  6. Resend the Request for Review email.

Once these boxes are checked and the order is updated, customers will be able to access and proceed through the “Request for Review” process without seeing the blocked message banner.

3. Customizing the Block Message

You can customize the message that appears when a quote is blocked due to "overbooking" or due to "block quote review processing within days and start date". To edit this message:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Order Settings.

  2. Locate the Review Message If Process Is Blocked Due To Overbook or Block Quote Review Processing Message field.

  3. Edit the text to display the message you’d like your customers to see.

Blocked quotes can occur for two reasons—overbooking or being too close to the start date. By updating your quote and checking the appropriate “ignore” boxes, you can allow your customers to proceed with their review requests seamlessly.
