Overview
This article explains how to connect your PayJunction Smart Terminal device to your Rentopian account and how to use it to collect credit card payments directly from your customers.
Step 1: Navigate to Payment Terminal Settings
Go to Settings → Financial/Payments.
Click on Payment Terminals.
Click Add Payment Terminal.
Step 2: Add Your Smart Terminal
Enter a title for the terminal (e.g., Showroom).
Select the payment method: Credit Card.
Select the terminal device from your connected PayJunction account.
Choose the correct PayJunction account to associate with this terminal.
Click Save.
Once saved, your terminal will be connected and ready for use.
Step 3: Collect a Payment Using the Terminal
Navigate to the Orders List and open the desired order.
Click Collect Payment.
From the list of payment methods, select the smart terminal you just added (e.g., Showroom).
Enter the payment amount and click Send to Terminal.
The terminal will prompt the customer to swipe, insert, or tap their card.
Once completed, you’ll see confirmation in Rentopian that the payment was successful.
Important Notes
This feature is only available through integration with PayJunction.
If you don’t have a PayJunction account, contact us to get connected.
If you have an account but no device, reach out to PayJunction to obtain a Smart Terminal.
