Preset date ranges let you quickly filter data across Rentopian. Instead of picking dates manually each time, you can create reusable filters like “Next Week” or “This Month.”
What Are Date Range Presets?
Date range presets are saved filters you can use in different areas of the system.
Examples:
This Month
Next Week
Last 30 Days
Next Year
Once created, these presets can be used in:
Crew Scheduling (Premium Logistics)
Custom Fields
Dashboard
Dispatching Scheduler (Premium Logistics)
Dispatching Drivers
Invoice List
Logistics
Order Calendar
Payments
Reports
Tasks
Task Filters
Transactions List
Important: A preset can only be created for one section at a time.
How to Create a Date Range Preset
Step 1: Navigate to Date Range Presets
Go to Settings.
Click Date Range Presets.
Step 2: Add a New Preset
Click the green Add Date Range Preset button.
Enter a clear Title (example: Next Year).
Select the Section where this preset should apply.
Step 3: Set the Start Date Rule
Each date rule has four parts:
Modifier: This, Next, or Last
Period: Day, Week, Month, Year, Quarter, Weekend, or a specific weekday
Days: Number of days to move forward
Time: Optional hour of the day
Example:
If you select This + Year + 0 Days, your start date will be January 1 of the current year.
If you select This + Year + 4 Days, your start date will be January 5.
Step 4: Set the End Date Rule (If Available)
Some sections allow both a start and end date.
Example for “Next Year”:
Start Date: Next + Year + 0 Days
End Date: Next + Year + 365 Days
This creates a full one-year range starting January 1 of next year.
Step 5: Confirm
Click the green Confirm button.
You will see a green success message.
Using Your Preset
Once saved, your preset will appear in the date filter area of the section you selected.
Example in Order Calendar:
Open the Order Calendar.
Click Filters.
Select your preset under Custom Dates.
Edit or Remove a Preset
Click the pencil icon to edit.
Click the trash can icon to delete.
Best Practices
Use clear names like “Next 7 Days” or “This Quarter.”
Avoid creating duplicate presets across many sections.
Double-check your “Days” value to avoid date mistakes.
Test your preset after saving to confirm the range is correct.
