Collected Tax Report

See tax collected over a date range by transaction type and tax title, with filters and exclusions.

Written by Hrant Minasyan

The Collected Tax report shows the tax on your orders over a period, broken down by tax type (rental, sale, service, delivery, and automatic tax) — useful for filing and reconciliation.

Where to Find It

Reports → Tax Reports → Collected Tax

What This Report Shows

  • Order number, type, and status

  • Client name and order total

  • Each tax type with its rate, amount, and taxable amount (rental, sale, service, delivery, automatic)

Filters You Can Apply

  • Date type — match the date range against the order start, end, or creation date

  • Date range — the period you want to review. A single report can cover up to about 13 months at a time; to review a longer span, run consecutive ranges and combine the exported files in Excel.

  • Tax title, state, order type, and order status

  • Location — if your company has more than one location, you can limit results to specific locations. (Single-location accounts won't see this filter.)

⚠️ What This Report Already Filters Out

Note what this report leaves out automatically:

  • Only orders that actually had tax applied are included. Orders with no tax don't appear.

  • Order templates and deleted orders are excluded.

How to Read the Results

This report is based on the tax charged on orders. If you instead need tax tied to when payments were received, use the Tax By Payment report.

Exporting

You can export the report to Excel, CSV, or PDF. Larger reports are generated in the background — you'll be notified when the file is ready to download.
