Rentopian offers two main ways to keep you and your team updated when something happens with a client or transaction: in-system notifications and automated emails.
In-System Notifications
Your in-system notifications are available from the bell icon. Click the bell to see your unread notifications.
These notifications are automatically connected to activity in Rentopian and do not need to be turned on or off. You can control whether you are viewing notifications related specifically to you or notifications for the rest of your team.
To learn more about viewing, filtering, and managing these notifications, see How to Manage In-System Notifications.
Automated Email Notifications
Rentopian also includes automated emails that can notify you or your team when specific events or actions happen.
To view your automated emails:
Go to Settings.
Click Emails and Templates.
Open the Automated Emails tab.
This page shows the automated emails available in your account and the event or action that triggers each email.
To learn more about managing automated emails, see How to Manage Automated Emails.
Find Emails Designed for Your Team
The Actions column can help you identify whether an automated email is designed for clients or your internal team.
If you see Exclude Client Types, the automated email is designed to go to clients.
If there is no option to exclude client types, the email is designed to go to Rentopian users.
You can enable the user emails that match the activities you and your team want to be notified about.
Receive Copies of Client Emails
You can also receive copies of automated emails that are designed to go to clients.
Open the email's template and add the appropriate team members to the Additional Recipients field. Those recipients can then receive a copy when that email is sent.
For help editing an email template and its recipients, see How to Update Email Templates.
Tip: If there is an activity you want to be notified about by email, check your included automated emails. There may already be an automation available for that activity.
Turn Automated Emails On or Off
The Enable Automated Emails column shows whether each automated email is currently active.
Green check mark: The automated email is enabled and will be sent when its event or action happens.
Red X: The automated email is disabled and is not currently being sent.
Click the toggle to switch the automated email on or off based on your notification needs.
