Go to the File Manager section from the main menu.
Click on the edit pencil icon under each of the files or under the Actions column of the file list, depending on the view of the list you have selected.
It will take you to the Edit File page.
Below the image, you will see information about it.
File name – despite the name of the image that you provided, this is the unique file name that is kept in the system.
Url – direct Url of the image
File type – the type of the file (e.g. image/png, image/jpeg, etc.)
Uploaded on – the date when it was uploaded
File size – Its size.
Click on the Delete File button if you want to delete it.
You can also crop the file by clicking on the Crop Image button.
On the right side of the page you can see the following fields to update:
Name – Provide the name of the image
Alt - Also called alt tags and alt descriptions, alt text is the written copy that appears in place of an image on a webpage if the image fails to load on a user's screen. This text helps screen-reading tools describe images to visually impaired readers and allows search engines to better crawl and rank your website.
Description – Write a description of the file/image if necessary.
Category – Choose a category, which will allow to filter by category from the Files Manager section to easily see all files that fall under a given category.
Common Repository File - When we mark this file as Common Repository File it means that this file can be commonly accessed from different sections of the system. E.g. if you are viewing an order and email the order to the client there is an attachment section and if a file is marked as a common repository file you can attach it to the order and email it to the client.
Attach to a Product – Select the product or multiple products to which you want to attach the file from the dropdown list.
Click on the Update File button.
