How to Use Tags to Create a Product Gallery on Your Website

You can use product tags to show specific items in a gallery on your website. This is helpful when you want customers to shop products from event photos.


What This Does

Tags let you group products together.

You can then use those tags to show only those products in a gallery or carousel on your website.

Example:

  • You post photos from an event

  • You show only the products used in that event


Step 1: Add Tags to Your Products

  • Go to your Product List.

  • Search for the product you want to tag.

  • Click the pencil icon to edit the product.

  • Find the Tags field.

  • Enter your tag name.

  • Use the exact same text for every product in the group.

  • Click Update Product.

Repeat this for all products you want in your gallery.


Step 2: Add a Product Gallery to Your Website

Go to your website editor (example: WordPress with RentPro theme).

  • Add a Product Grid or Product Carousel block.

By default, all products will show.


Step 3: Filter by Tag

  • Open the settings for your grid or carousel.

  • Go to the Query section.

  • Select Include by Term.

  • In the term field, type your tag.

Select the correct tag from the list.

Important:

  • Tags must match exactly.

  • If tags are slightly different (like spacing), you may need to select both or fix them.


Step 4: View Your Product Gallery

Your gallery will now show only the tagged products.

This lets customers:

  • See items used in your event photos

  • Quickly browse related products

  • Add items to their wishlist


Best Practices

  • Keep tag names simple and consistent.

  • Avoid extra spaces or spelling differences.

  • Use tags for events, styles, or collections.

  • Test your gallery after setting it up.
