Future Utilization Report

See which products are committed to go out on upcoming orders, the filters you can apply, and what the report leaves out.

Written by Hrant Minasyan

The Future Utilization report shows which products are committed to go out on upcoming orders, so you can see what's leaving the warehouse and when.

Where to Find It

Reports → Product & Inventory Reports → Future Utilization

What This Report Shows

  • Order number, type, and status

  • Order start date

  • Product name and variant, with category

  • Quantity committed

  • Location and transportation (delivery/pickup) type

Filters You Can Apply

  • Date type — match the date range against the event date or the order start date

  • Date range — the period you want to review. A single report can cover up to about 13 months at a time; to review a longer span, run consecutive ranges and combine the exported files in Excel.

  • Order type, order status, and transportation type

  • Category

  • Location — if your company has more than one location, you can limit results to specific locations. (Single-location accounts won't see this filter.)

⚠️ What This Report Already Filters Out

Keep these built-in behaviors in mind:

  • Cancelled and deleted orders are excluded.

  • Quotes and tentative holds are included. The numbers reflect potential demand as well as confirmed orders, so a product can show as "going out" before the order is fully confirmed.

Exporting

You can export the report to Excel, CSV, or PDF. Larger reports are generated in the background — you'll be notified when the file is ready to download.
