Products Income Prorated Report

Like Products Income, but revenue is prorated to the portion of each rental that falls inside your selected date range.

Written by Hrant Minasyan

The Products Income Prorated report is like Products Income, but it splits each rental's revenue to the portion that actually falls inside your selected date range — useful when rentals start before or end after the period you're reviewing.

Where to Find It

Reports → Product & Inventory Reports → Products Income Prorated

What This Report Shows

  • Product name and variant, with category and tag

  • Transportation (delivery/pickup) type

  • Quantity

  • Prorated revenue and the prorated portion of the rental dates

Filters You Can Apply

  • Date type — match the date range against the event dates, the order dates, or the order creation date

  • Date range — the period you want to review. A single report can cover up to about 13 months at a time; to review a longer span, run consecutive ranges and combine the exported files in Excel.

  • Category, tag, transportation type, and payment status

  • Location — if your company has more than one location, you can limit results to specific locations. (Single-location accounts won't see this filter.)

⚠️ What This Report Already Filters Out

Before reading the results, note what this report leaves out automatically:

  • Only confirmed orders are included. Quotes are excluded.

  • Cancelled orders are excluded.

  • Only active or returned rental items are counted.

How to Read the Results

When a rental straddles the start or end of your date range, only the overlapping portion's revenue is counted — so a product's total here can be lower than its full order value. This is what makes the report useful for assigning revenue to a specific month or period.

Exporting

You can export the report to Excel, CSV, or PDF. Larger reports are generated in the background — you'll be notified when the file is ready to download.
