See the average rental duration for a product or category, with filters and built-in exclusions.

Written by Hrant Minasyan

The Duration report shows the average length of a rental for a given product or category, helping you understand how long items typically stay out.

Where to Find It

Reports → Transaction Reports → Duration

What This Report Shows

  • Product or category name

  • Total quantity rented

  • Average rental duration

Filters You Can Apply

  • Group by — product or category

  • Date range — the period you want to review. A single report can cover up to about 13 months at a time; to review a longer span, run consecutive ranges and combine the exported files in Excel.

  • Location — if your company has more than one location, you can limit results to specific locations. (Single-location accounts won't see this filter.)

⚠️ What This Report Already Filters Out

Note what this report leaves out automatically:

  • Only confirmed orders are included. Quotes are excluded.

  • Cancelled orders and order templates are excluded.

  • Only rental items are counted. Items that were sold are excluded.

Exporting

You can export the report to Excel, CSV, or PDF. Larger reports are generated in the background — you'll be notified when the file is ready to download.
