Go to the Products section from the main menu and click on the Categories submenu.
Here besides adding new categories you can manage the list of the existing categories. The category list can be sorted by any column by clicking on the column name.
You can also edit or delete the category from the list by choosing one of the options under the “Actions” column.
You can select the number of entries you want to see and search for categories.
To sort product categories click on the “Sort Product Categories” button. Drag and drop categories to arrange them in the order you want. The main purpose of this is to display categories in the desired order on your website if you are using Rentopian Sync website integration.
To add a new category to the list click on the “Add Category” button and fill out below fields:
Parent Category – Choose the parent category from the dropdown list if the category you are creating is a subcategory of the existing category. Note: There can be only two levels of categories – parent category and subcategory.
Category Name – Enter the category name.
Description – Write down the description of a given category.
Image – Upload the image that will be used if you are using the Rentopian Sync website integration feature. It will allow you to list your categories as images on your website for easy navigation.
Icon – Select an icon for the category.
Click on the “Save Category” button.
