Creating Sets

If you have products with multiple components, like tents or pipe and drape for example, you should set these products up as a set with their components as individual products. This will help ensure that you can properly track each component and on your packing list you’ll see a detailed list of items meaning your deliveries won’t arrive with missing pieces.

The first step to create a set is to set up your components as products. You can find instructions on creating products here. NOTE: If the components of your set are not offered as rentals outside of the set, you can mark the rental price for those components as $0

To create your set, you click on Sets in your navigation menu.

Then click List.

From here, you'll click the green Create Set button.

To add products/components to your set, you'll scroll to the product table labeled "Select Poducts from Inventory" which will be below the table labeled Set Products where your items will be listed after selected.

You can use the search bar to find specific products. As with most search bars in Rentopian, as you type in the list will be narrowed.

When selecting your products you’ll notice there is a product and variant, even when there is a single variant. When adding a product with a single variant, be sure to select the variant with the price listed.

If your product has multiple variants and any variant can be used within the set, you’ll choose the product rather than the variant. When adding your set to an order, you’ll be prompted to choose the variant.

As you add your products to your set, you’ll be able to review the list in the top box.

From here, you can mark items optional or required and edit the products in the set.

Once you’ve added all the products to your set, you’ll enter the details about the set and upload an image if you have one. You’ll have 2 options for how your set is priced. You can set a specific price or you can have the total based on the set items’ prices.

Once you’ve entered all the information about your set and added all the products, you’ll click the green Save Set button in the bottom left corner.

You’ll then be brought to your list of sets and you’ll see a green confirmation message that your set has been created. You are able to view and edit sets similar to how you can view and edit products.
