Product Level Price Multiplier
The Product Level Price Multiplier is useful for products that have discounted pricing dependent on the number of days it is rented for, like daily rate with a lower weekly rate for example. To create a Product Level Multiplier, first you'll navigate to your Settings under your main navigation.
Then you'll click on the Price Rule tile on the settings options page.
From the Price Rules options, you click on the Product Level Multiplier tab and then the green Add Price Multiplier button.
This will take you to the Product Level Price Multiplier creation page where you will enter a title and add the multiplier tiers. You can add additional tiers by clicking on the green + Add another line button (note: you'll need to complete the line before adding a line will be an option).
For example, an item with a rental price of $100 daily, $400 weekly, or $1100 montly; the product would be charged each day for the first 4 days, then not charged for days 5-7, then charged each day until day 11, not charged again until day 14, charged each day until day 17, and then not charged again. Those tiers would be set up as a price multiplier like the table below:
If you need to remove a tier, you can click the red trash can icon at the end of the row. Once you have added all your tiers, then you will click the green Save Price Multiplier button at the bottom.
Once your Product Level Price Multiplier is created, you'll be able to add it to any products that will be using this price rule. To add the multiplier to an existing product, you'll navigate to the product and edit the variant option by clicking on the pencil icon at the end of the row on the product view screen.
This will open the edit window where you will click on the Stock tab and add the Product Level Multiplier then click on the green Save & Close.
You can also add a Product Level Multiplier to a product when creating the product. The product level multiplier option is under the Pricing & Cost section of the product create screen.
We've created a spreadsheet to help you calculate your multiplier which you can find here: PRODUCT LEVEL MULTIPLIER SPREADSHEET.
